Anyways, today was kind of a slow day, not much to say.
I woke up around 10ish since today was our late class (12:30-4:30).
I used that time to study the alphabets.
I think I got hiragana pretty much 90% down.
Just started on katakana.
Also got myself a breakfast, since I slept past the hotel breakfast times.
Off to class.
Today's class was the anime class again, which was nice, cuz we got to sit in the comfy theater seats again.
For the first half of class we discussed more anime theory and the chapters we had to read from the book. We got to see the intro scenes from Laputa again and also Nausicaa, which was nice.
For the second half of class we watched a film called Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. I had never watched any other GitS anime before, and although it seemed like a really cool movie to tie in with other stuff that it was named after, I couldn't really understand it because I hadn't watched any.
I talked with some other people who actually watched GitS stuff and even they were confused. The professor said it was normal to be confused.
Demetri and I had to meet with the professor about a project that we were assigned, so we were pretty much separated from the rest of the group, but we met up with a couple of people on our way down who were shopping for food.
We grabbed some early dinner at a small thingy that sold udon thingies.
I bought a katsu bowl.
And I forgot my camera.
But it's OK!
Cuz it's not instagram.
I'll just describe it.
It was a semi-crispy chicken katsu with half cooked egg on it and rice with sauce on the bottom. It was really good, and 3 of us got it. Demetri got some udon, which he didn't like at all, cuz he expected it to be hot and it was cold.
Demetri still kind of feels like shit, but we gotta get up early tomorrow to do our project on Tsukiji (we gotta take some pictures over there and stuff) so he can't go out.
I pretty much just stayed inside and moved to katakana.
It's kind of troublesome to memorize two different alphabets, but I'm sure I'll manage.
Demetri went to sleep early and I pretty much just used this time to study the katakana.
Got a knock on my door around 9 ish.
It was Kevin and Eric.
They asked if I wanted to drink with them before they went off into the night to do their project on the Tsukiji fish market (they would have to stay there all night and into the morning to get a good view).
I was down.
We ended up playing a 3 player Advance Wars Dual Strike and making that into a drinking game with the giant bottle of soju that Kevin bought a couple days ago.
Until the DS froze.
By that time, Kevin and Eric had to leave with Shunya anyways and I went back to my room to conduct my own business.
So things look like they're slowing down, but maybe not.
Maybe some more exciting things are to come.
